On Thursday, September 29, the Main Library will be hosting a birthday celebration of Mevlana Jelaluddin Rumi—13th Century Persian poet and mystic philosopher whose writing continues to be studied and honored worldwide.  Whether you’re a newcomer to his work or a longtime admirer, we hope you will join us for an evening of poetry, conversation, Persian desserts, and tea.  Everyone is welcome to bring a Rumi poem to share.
